The Stig
The Kastaplast Stig (K1 Grind) is a smooth, glidey midrange built for effortless line shaping. Its 6 | 5 | -2 | 1 flight gives it easy high-speed turn with just enough fade to finish, making it perfect for hyzer-flips, long turnovers, technical wooded lines, and tailwind drives.
Sitting in the same family as the Kaxe but with more turn and less fade, the Stig is easy to manipulate without requiring huge power. K1 Grind is made from 100% reclaimed excess K1 production material, giving the plastic another life without using old discs or mixing plastic types. Each disc has its own unique colour pattern while maintaining the consistent premium performance expected from K1.
Kastaplast Plastic Types
Premium Plastics
K1 Line
Kastaplast’s main premium plastic: super durable with a great balance between firmness and gumminess. Excellent grip while still handling plenty of abuse, and available in both solid and translucent colours. A great all-round choice for discs you want to keep their flight for a long time.
K1 Soft
A softer, more flexible version of K1: extra gummy and grippy while retaining the durability of a premium plastic. Great for approaches you want to settle down, cold or wet conditions, and anyone who prefers a softer feel. Previously known as K2.
K1 Hard
A firmer version of K1 with the same polished premium feel. Beats in more slowly than regular K1 and generally gives discs a touch more stability. Primarily used for Kastaplast Tour Series releases.
K1 Grind
Kastaplast’s recycled premium plastic: made from 100% recycled K1 production material, reducing manufacturing waste without mixing in used discs or other plastics. Keeps the premium performance of K1 while featuring distinctive two-tone designs.
Base Plastics
K3 Line
Kastaplast’s main baseline plastic: very grippy in all conditions with a medium-soft feel and designed to season noticeably faster than K1. Great for putting, approaches and discs you want to quickly develop that comfortable worked-in feel.
K3 Hard
A firmer version of K3: retains the grippy baseline character but adds stiffness and improved durability. Seasons more slowly than regular K3, making it great for players who like a firm putting plastic or want a baseline disc to hold its flight longer.
K3 Glow
The glow version of Kastaplast’s K3 baseline plastic: grippy and quick-seasoning like regular K3, but blended with glow material for night play. It doesn’t glow as strongly as premium K1 Glow, but gives you that familiar baseline feel after dark. Kastaplast
K4 Line
A super-soft hybrid plastic sitting between baseline and premium: extra gummy and grippy, with visible wear developing while the flight characteristics remain relatively consistent. K4 also floats in water, making it a particularly interesting option around water hazards. Kastaplast
